-My research inquiry question is what are the benefits of vegetarianism?
-I settled on this question because I, myself, have been a vegetarian my whole life and I would love to share its benefits to my peers. What interests me about this topic is, it is a characteristic that defines me, meaning that it is a part of who I am and what makes me, me.
-My topic can be very timely depending on how many different viewpoints I look at. It could have numerous reason to being beneficial, but when one only brings up the benefits, people start to wonder about the negatives it can bring about. I think people should care about it because, nowadays, everyone is always wondering how to become more healthy and lose weight.
-Throughout my research, I expect to find reasons beyond just physical health for this dietary choice. The preliminary research I have conducted is looking up articles about people that are vegetarian.
-I have not really thought about talking to scholars of this situation. I think talking to a nutritionist would be the closest thing to a scholar on dietary choices. The views of authors so for, in what I have found, have been both negative and positive. As in, there are author that think very highly of taking upon this diet because animal cruelty is horrible, but other authors that could argue where people would get the nutrients they need from day to day.
-Being a vegetarian, I am obviously going to side with those that think only positive thoughts about vegetarianism, but I will not say the opposing people are wrong because in their viewpoint it could be right. My mind probably will not change during this process. The only case I can think of where my mind would change, would my deeper understanding of why being a vegetarian is a very healthy choice.
